Accessorize

“The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize.”

-Clariee, Steel Magnolias

I learned a very important lesson from Clariee Belcher in 1989 about the importance of accessorizing.  I have always had an obsession with jewelry.  I love everything from earrings to necklaces to bracelets, especially BRACELETS!  There is something about putting on my jewelry that makes me feel put together and complete.  I think I inherited this from my grandmother, Ada Faye Ward, my Daddy’s mom.  She was more of a QVC girl, but still loved her jewelry.  I realized that others noticed this obsession of mine when one day a co-worker asked me if I was feeling OK? I answered, “Yes, why do you ask?” She said, “You only have on three bracelets.” LOL.  It is so true.  If you know me, you know that I am a minimum of six bracelet wearer.  So, what are my favorites?

For bracelets, I went through a very serious obsession with Rustic Cuff.  I still love their bracelets and there are smart ways to shop their jewelry without having to pay full price.  They have monthly specials quite often and for real bargains they appear on Good Morning America’s Deals and Steals and The View from time to time.  They have a fun special that they run coming up in December called, Twelve Days of Christmas.  They release a special every day for twelve days!  It is a lot of fun to try and get on to find out what the specials are and see if you can get it before they sale out.  Mostly, it is about the thrill of the hunt for a good bargain and beautiful bracelets.  The best part about RC is it is an Oklahoma based company created in 2011 in Tulsa, OK!

My most recent bracelet obsession is with Erimish bracelets and I am not talking little obsession, it is a BIG one.  They are so affordable and sparkly and pretty and I want ALL of them!  When I was introduced to Erimish is when I really stepped up my bracelet “stacking” game.  Every morning I enjoy seeing if I can match my outfit exactly with my selection of bracelet combinations.  The best part about Erimish is you can find them locally as a lot of boutiques carry them.

For earrings and necklaces, I explore a lot of different options.  Of course, I am a huge Kendra Scott fan for all things sparkly.  However, I like playing with different earrings and necklaces.  I definitely lean towards more trendy options when it comes to earrings.  For the moment I am super obsessed with fringe, leather and all things druzy!  I have recently discovered a couple of new shops that I love!  LavenderBlueSoul is an Etsy shop that has some of the most fun earrings, necklaces and rings.  Eleven 10 Leather is also a family based company that specializes in handcrafted leather jewelry and has some of the most beautiful leather earrings.  I recently ordered a personalized “Carrie” name necklace from KC Chic Designs and it turned out absolutely beautiful. I think it is fun to find shops like these that are fun and unique and offer something that you don’t see every day.

So, what was on my birthday list…JEWELRY!!  My sweet husband somehow knew exactly what I wanted!  Below are some of the new things I just received from LavenderBlueSoul.
